See what ships, and when
To answer “where does this stand?” without opening a board.
Extension of Projects
The view from above: milestones and dates over the real projects, to tell client and team what lands and when.
To answer “where does this stand?” without opening a board.
Because the bar of a project is drawn from the dates of its tasks, first to last.
To find out what is inside a bar that runs longer than it should.
So the current month is not squeezed flat by a whole year.
See what ships, and when, in three steps.
Open the roadmap.
One row per active project, with its bar and the share of tasks already done.
The vertical line marks today, and the footer says how many projects are showing out of how many.
The Roadmap steps, one by one, are in the manual.
Read the Roadmap manualAnswering “where is this at?” for a client or a colleague without opening a board. The roadmap shows, on a timeline, when each project delivers, with its bar and the percentage of finished tasks.
For anyone who has to say what is coming and when: whoever runs several projects at once, whoever answers to a client or whoever needs to see at a glance which ones are lagging. It is an extension of Projects: it lives in its card in the Store and is installed with it.
See one row per active project with its bar, a vertical line marking today and a footer saying how many projects you are seeing out of how many. A project’s bar is drawn from its tasks’ dates, from the first to the last: with a start and a due date it shows as a bar, with a single date, as a milestone.
Open a project with the arrow on its row to see its tasks on the same axis, with the color of their status or priority, and frame the period by choosing the axis scale —week, month or quarter—, going back to today or using “Fit all”, which stretches the axis from the oldest date to the furthest.
Filter by name from the window bar, or by progress with the chips —at risk, in progress, almost done or completed—, and cut the noise with “Hide unplanned” and “Hide completed”. Inside a project, “Schedule” and “EVM” put figures on its deviation in cost and in time: what was planned, what was earned and what was spent.
The roadmap stores nothing of its own: it is drawn from the tasks’ dates, and if you change or remove a date the timeline redraws itself. A project with no dated task cannot be drawn and appears in the list of the ones that are missing. Schedule and EVM come with this same app: without it they do not appear.
