App
Living documentation next to the work: pages, project wikis and attachments, with the same search and the same permissions.
So it stops living in an email and the team can find it.
For minutes, a procedure or any text meant to last.
To get back the paragraph that vanished on Tuesday.
To show it to someone outside who has no account here.
Upload a file, in three steps.
Drag the files onto the upload area, or press “Upload document” and pick them.
They land in the folder you have open, several at a time: up to 10 MB each.
An uploaded file is previewed and downloaded; the text you edit lives in pages.
The Documents steps, one by one, are in the manual.
Read the Documents manualThe minutes that live in an email, the procedure only one person knows and the file nobody can find. Documents keeps the team’s writing and files in a tree that outlives whoever leaves, with the same search and the same permissions as the rest of the product.
For teams that want their documentation next to the work: minutes, procedures, project wikis and attachments.
Write a document with the editor —it saves itself as you type and every save leaves a version— or upload files by dragging them to the upload area, up to 10 MB each and several at once. An uploaded file can be previewed and downloaded, and the text you edit is the pages.
Put it where it will be looked for: nested under another document or filed in an organization folder, with “Move” from the detail and the Tree or Columns view as you prefer. Start from a template, so that each week’s minutes always come out with the same sections, and go back to an earlier version from “History” to recover the paragraph that vanished on Tuesday.
Comment on a specific paragraph: the comment stays anchored to that passage, in the rail at the side, and the replies stay in the same thread. And publish a read-only link to show it to someone outside who has no account.
Deleting a document sends it to the trash in organization Settings with its text and its files, and only an admin destroys it for good. Marking a template and publishing a link are admin matters. If a link ended up where it should not have, it is regenerated: the previous one stops opening; unpublishing turns it off and publishing again gives back the same one.
