Connect your Mercury account

So transactions come in on their own instead of uploading a statement every month.

How to do it

1. Install Mercury from the Store: it is a Finance add-on and comes with Pro.
2. In Mercury, go to Settings › API Tokens and create a read-only token.
3. In Finance › Banks, choose “Connect Mercury” and paste the token. Projekt Republic checks it with Mercury before saving it.
4. The token is stored encrypted and never shown again: you only see its last four characters.

Review and reconcile transactions

To match every payment in and out with its invoice or expense.

How to do it

1. Mercury accounts show up in Banks with their balance, like the others.
2. Their transactions land in the transactions inbox and are reconciled like those of a statement.
3. If Mercury rejects the token, the connection is marked as invalid: create a new token and connect again.
4. Disconnecting or uninstalling Mercury stops syncing, but deletes nothing that already came in.

Disconnect Mercury whenever you want

To cut Projekt Republic’s access to your bank without losing what already came in.

How to do it

1. In Finance › Banks, open the Mercury connection and choose “Disconnect”.
2. The token is deleted at once and syncing stops.
3. The accounts and transactions that already came in stay: they are your books.
4. To come back, connect again with a new Mercury token.

How to undo it. Disconnecting deletes nothing that already came in: connect again with a new token and syncing carries on where it was.
